Physical Planning
Selection Process
As part of Phase Two, we issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) to nationally recognized performing arts architects and designers to assess potential sites and explore which locations could best meet the needs identified in Phase One for the prospective future Chattanooga Community Performing Arts Center. You can download the RFP and learn more by clicking here.
The Feasibility Study Committee will select the firm to lead this effort, but we need the community’s voice represented. That’s why we’re sharing the submitted proposals below and inviting you to email your feedback to Project Manager Blake Harris (click here to email him).
To keep the process fair and transparent, we ask that if you have any personal or professional connections to a group, individual, or firm mentioned in a proposal, you disclose that when sharing feedback. Your input will help us manage biases and build a process rooted in equity and openness. Please submit all feedback to Blake Harris by Tuesday, September 21.
The Lyndhurst Foundation has generously supported this proposal and process, and is led by ArtsBuild.

You may notice some overlap in consulting firms across the proposals. This is not a conflict of interest—some design firms are partnering with local, regional, and national teams (and vice versa). Each collaboration is unique, and the proposals reflect those distinct partnerships.
