Phase Two:
What’s Next
With Phase One complete, confirming the need for new and improved arts facilities in Chattanooga, we now move into Phase Two of the feasibility study. This next stage focuses on two interconnected efforts: Business Planning and Physical Planning. Together, they will help us chart a clear, realistic path forward for a future Chattanooga Community Performing Arts Center.
Business Planning
The business planning process will center Chattanooga’s performing arts organizations every step of the way. Through ongoing input and collaboration, this work will shape a prospective business model, governance structure, and revenue plan for the Performing Arts Center. Webb Mgmt—our nationally recognized consulting partner who led Phase One—will continue to guide this process, ensuring that the plan reflects both local needs and national best practices. The result will be rooted solely in the needs of the existing and emerging performing arts groups, and provide a practical roadmap designed to sustain the PAC and strengthen the performing arts ecosystem in Chattanooga for decades to come.
Physical Planning
At this stage, no site has been selected for the Chattanooga Community Performing Arts Center. However, several possibilities have been suggested by community members and local developers for consideration. These potential sites will be carefully assessed by nationally recognized performing arts architects, who will help us explore design scenarios and evaluate what’s possible. This process will allow us to imagine a center that is functional, accessible, and inspiring without being tied to a single location just yet.

Phase Two Committee
We’re grateful to work with a volunteer committee whose members were selected for their diverse expertise and deep commitment to Chattanooga’s arts and culture. Together, they represent major performing arts disciplines alongside community leaders with relevant skills. They will help guide and implement Phase Two with care, transparency, and collaboration.
